BackgroundI grew up in the countryside of Michigan, coming from a background of small-town vibes and a lack of diversity. As a young child, I knew that I didn’t belong in the place where I grew up. I always felt there was something more—more substance, more intention to life. Thanks to a strict household, I learned the value of hard work. As soon as I could, I began working hard for what I wanted: to explore the world and discover different ways of life.At the age of 17, I left my hometown for the first time to travel to Europe, visiting friends I had met as exchange students in high school. That trip opened my eyes to the vastness of the world, to things that are neither taught in schools nor found in small towns. Although I was a straight-A student and always pushed myself to succeed, the idea of going to university and immediately falling into debt went against every ounce of my internal compass. How could I choose a lifelong path when I knew there was so much I didn’t yet understand? The idea simply didn’t make sense to me.For me, the decision was easy: step outside the box I never fit into and do something unordinary. At 18, two weeks after graduating high school, I packed a backpack and bought a one-way ticket to move across the world by myself.This journey marked my enrollment in the School of Life. I began exploring what exists beyond the confines of conventional education and understanding the interconnectedness of the planet as one whole ecosystem. This realization led me to uncover how historical events shape the present reality.As I traveled, I learned, experienced, and grew. I began to see the truth of the capitalist and colonialist systems we live under today and the devastating consequences they have on the planet. The traveler’s dream isn’t all fairy tales—beyond the charming streets and beachfront cocktail bars lies the harsh reality of locals living amidst heaps of trash.Finding Community & PurposeI started seeking solutions, knowing there had to be another way of life.Fast forward to the next phase of my journey: I decided to embody the solutions I sought by founding an intentional community focused on bringing health and awareness into everyday life. Bringing people together in community became an integral passion of mine when I realized the transformative power of collective action. My understanding of community deepened at my first Rainbow Gathering in 2020, an experience that opened my eyes to immense potential and hope. Since then, I’ve returned annually to pray for peace with the Rainbow Family of Living Light.A New Chapter | ColombiaAfter almost two years of living in community, attending gatherings, and studying holistic health and massage, I felt ready to start a new chapter. I co-founded Sun Nation, an initiative aimed at creating systems that enable people to leave the ‘system’ and embrace regenerative ways of life.This journey led me to Colombia, where I encountered a culture the world scarcely knows still exists. I was introduced to an indigenous tribe in the mountains, living in harmony with traditions thousands of years old. Their language, clothing, and cultural practices are deeply rooted in ancestral wisdom. Meeting these people was unlike anything I had experienced in the 17 countries I had previously visited. I immediately felt the depth of the challenges they face in their homeland, and with their invitation and spiritual guidance, protecting their territory—what the four original peoples of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta call “The Heart of the World”—became my life’s mission.Encountering the Arhuaco people instilled in me a profound sense of hope for humanity. Their honorable way of living in harmony with the natural world offers a blueprint for how humans can align with Earth’s rhythms and systems, rather than exploit them.I quickly learned their territory faces severe threats. Coming from the Western world, the exploitation of the Global South is starkly visible. Limited access to global knowledge and the high demand for raw materials create immense pressures. Colonization, which began 500 years ago on the Arhuaco’s homeland shores, forced them into the mountains to preserve their way of life. Even there, encroachment has pushed them to the brink.My MissionTwo years later, I am fully committed to serving the natural world. I work directly with one of the most ancient cultures on Earth, who still hold the wisdom of how the natural world functions. My role is to act as a bridge and cultural diplomat, sharing this knowledge with people in modern systems who are desperately seeking a new way of life.I am dedicated to helping develop regenerative systems that transform how modern systems function. I strive to integrate community living and implement sovereign systems to strengthen humanity’s resilience as the world evolves. My mission is to protect nature, empower communities, and create pathways for a regenerative future.
